Terms of Service
Who we are
Launch in China is the trading name of Guangzhou Bingfeng Information Technology Co., Ltd., registered in Guangzhou, China ("we", "us"). These terms apply to this website and to the services we describe on it.
Scope of the services
We prepare international products for launch in mainland China: China-readiness advisory, mainland filings (ICP and app filing, and where applicable software copyright), submissions to the App Store in mainland China and to the major Chinese Android stores, and WeChat Mini Program development. We may act as your filing agent or submission agent where the platform allows it.
We are not a marketing agency. We do not run campaigns, influencer activity, storefront operations or advertising, and nothing on this website should be read as offering those services.
Quotes, scope and change
Prices shown on this website are starting points, not offers. A binding quote is issued in writing after we have reviewed your product and confirmed the filings and stores involved. Anything not listed in that quote is out of scope.
Chinese filings and store reviews change frequently. If a change in rules, fees or platform requirements affects your project, we will tell you what changed and issue a revised scope and price before doing the extra work.
What we cannot promise
- Approval is not ours to give. Filing authorities and app store review teams decide independently. We prepare, submit and remediate; we cannot guarantee that any filing is granted or any listing is approved, or that it happens by a particular date.
- Government and platform timelines are outside our control. Statistics on this website are typical ranges based on real projects, not commitments.
- You need a Chinese legal entity. Certain filings, WeChat capabilities and store accounts are only available to an entity registered in mainland China. Where you do not have one, you are responsible for obtaining it or for engaging a party who can provide it. We can point you to options, but we do not hold or lend our entity for your product.
- Some categories cannot launch. Products requiring prior Chinese regulatory approval that an overseas team cannot realistically obtain — games being the clearest example — are out of scope. We will tell you at the assessment stage if that applies to you.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your product, accounts, and any prior submissions.
- Provide the materials, credentials and access we ask for, when we ask for them.
- Make your own developers available for any advisory work that is delivered to your team.
- Hold the rights to everything you send us, and to the trademarks and content in your listing.
Fees and payment
Fees, currencies and payment milestones are set out in your quote or statement of work. Unless agreed otherwise, work begins when the initial payment clears, and each stage is invoiced as it is delivered. Third-party charges — government fees, notarisation, translation, platform account fees — are passed through at cost and are not included in our service fee unless the quote says so.
Intellectual property
Your product, code, content and trademarks remain yours. We claim no rights over them. Anything we create specifically for you — for example a WeChat Mini Program built for your brand — becomes yours on final payment. Our own methods, templates, checklists and internal tooling remain ours.
The text, layout, illustrations and code of this website belong to us and may not be copied or reused commercially without our written permission.
Confidentiality
Each side will keep the other's non-public business information confidential and use it only to deliver or receive the services. We will not name you as a client publicly without your written agreement.
Liability
We deliver our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from a project is limited to the fees you have paid us for that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue, or losses caused by a filing authority or app store refusing, delaying or removing your listing.
Ending the agreement
Either side may end a project in writing. If you end it, you pay for work completed up to that point and for any non-refundable third-party fees already committed on your behalf.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes that cannot be resolved by discussion will be submitted to the competent court in Guangzhou, China.
